I attended an event called the Beachbody Coach Summit in Nashville in July 2015. I learned SO much and had an incredible time! I’ll be sharing the story of my weekend in pieces. The following is just one of the many stories from my weekend at Summit.
Live Workout with Autumn
In registering for the 2015 Coach Summit event, we were allowed to choose two smaller workouts with each led by one of the five trainers. One workout was Thursday afternoon; the other was Friday morning. I was given some advice on how to choose:
“Tony is hilarious. You’ll have a great time with him. Chalene will inspire you to do more and be more in everything. Shaun T will motivate you like no one else. Sagi will have you building muscle even in his live workout. And Autumn … Well, she’s Autumn. I’d pick her last of the five.”
Say what?! Autumn last?? She was at the top of my list! The advice continued with “You’ll get a great workout with Autumn, but she’s not very interesting or entertaining.” I decided instantly that this advice was utter rubbish!
We did have to pick weeks in advance, but there was something I knew for sure – I would need to get in great workouts every day of Summit! Why? Because I’d be eating every meal and snack away from home for three full days! While it wasn’t too hard to find healthier options for some meals, I knew I’d end up eating things I shouldn’t during the trip (but that’s another story entirely).
In spite of the advice I was given, I chose Autumn’s workout for Thursday afternoon. It was Lower Fix Extreme Live, which sounded perfect to me. It was the workout that would have fallen that day anyway, since I knew I’d be back on Extreme starting the week before Summit.
Lower Fix Extreme is a butt-kicking workout at home, but there’s just something about doing it live, with Autumn at the front of the room and hundreds of fellow Fixers around you. I worked my legs and booty like never before!
No, she wasn’t entertaining, but I found Autumn to be highly motivating. She was constantly telling us that we could do it, to not stop, to give it all you’ve got, etc. She did the moves with us and encouraged both the crowd and her on-stage crew throughout the workout. She was always upbeat, smiling, and showing that she enjoys her work as a trainer. When it was over, she did take a few minutes to speak to us, and I found her words very encouraging!
Autumn’s style isn’t for everyone, apparently, but she’s perfect for me! I got exactly what I wanted and needed from her that day – a killer workout and motivation to continue my own journey to better health and fitness!
Just how killer was Autumn’s workout? Check out how red my face was when it ended! Love it!!
My other workouts at Summit included spending some time with Shaun T on Friday and joining 20,000 people plus all five trainers for the Super Workout on Saturday. It was an AMAZING experience!! You should join my team of Coaches and go with us to Summit next summer!
